Experience
Andrew Massiah serves as President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Demerara Systems. In this role he is responsible for driving the vision of Demerara systems development activities as well as the development of technologies in collaboration with Demerara Systems’ clients.
Mr. Massiah brings with him more than 28 years of aerospace and defense technology management and design experience. Prior to founding Demerara Systems, he worked at General Electric Corporation, Aerospace Systems Division where he held several positions over a 12 year period in the Data Transfer Systems group. This included project management, research and development principal engineer and applications engineer. Prior to his positions at GE, Mr Massiah held various technical positions at Northrop Grumman Corporation Laser Systems Division. These included technical leadership for the Lightweight Laser Designator Range Finder (LLDR) program as well as various hand held laser rangefinders. Prior to working at Northrop, Mr. Massiah held technical positions at General Dynamics, Spectrum Astro Space Systems. At General Dynamics Mr. Massiah designed electronics for the attitude control systems and payload data interfaces for various satellite programs. Mr. Massiah is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Delaware.
